If that is too costly, I would recommend mixing baking soda with peroxide and brushing your teeth with that, followed by your regular toothpaste. They made a custom whitening tray like an orthodontist%26#039;s retainer, fitted to your teeth, and give you a whitening gel. The gel lasts a long time, and replacement tubes are about $30. I don%26#039;t know if you can get the gel cheaper on-line. It was a lot cheaper than whitening by our dentist (which would have had to be repeated in a few months anyway). My daughter uses the gel every other month for a few days, and it made a huge difference.
One tip that they gave us was that the goal of teeth whitening should be to match the color of the whites of your eye. Any whiter, and they said the whitening looks too artificial.

Its great that you brush twice and use mouthwash. Use a toothpaste that has baking soda in it. most brands carry those types like crest and colgate. Also try a whitening mouthash. you can find them anywheere! Also after you brush your teeth with toothpaste, clean your brush and brush with a little bit of baking soda. and lastly chew whitening gum like trident.
You%26#039;ll really start to see and feel a difference after a while.
Be patient and it will all work!

I%26#039;ve tried buying different types, and they don%26#039;t work. But what I notice that works for me is brushing your teeth after every meal. I brush my teeth at least 4-5 times everyday, and use floss, and it really has made a difference. Also, drink enough water. What I mean is that once buildup (stain, tartar and plaque) has been there a while you can%26#039;t brush it off and it acts as a magnet for more buildup. This buildup gives you bad breath and cavities. Once this is off your teeth I would agree that Crest Whitestrips are a good option. As a dental hygienist I sell them at my office for $75.00 which is more than Walmart, but ours are 3 weeks worth of strips and are 3 times stronger, so they are more effective. If you don%26#039;t have insurance you might be able to go to a local dental hygiene school for free or a small donation. Believe it or not, your mouth health is related to how healthy the rest of your body is!!!

i dont think theres an actual possible effective way to get your teeth whiter with your braces on, you cant use whitening strips since the brackets are in the way. either way, its not actually possible.
but when you do get your braces off, consider going to see a cosmetic dentist in your area, you can get a take-home bleaching tray with impressions of your teeth, your teeth will begin to be white within 2 weeks, and the cost is from $300-$500 depending on the location. you can expect great results, and i did the same thing after i got my braces off. so itll definetely be satisfying.

You can go to the dentist and get them to create molds of your teeth, from which they%26#039;ll create trays for you to wear in your mouth. You squirt dental bleach in the trays and wear them like a mouth piece.
But, that%26#039;s a thing of the past now. Most dental offices have replaced that with laser whitening. It%26#039;s faster, less mess, and you about the same cost.

So dark drinks like coffee and tea, and smoking tobacco or marijuana, cigars, or chewing tobacco all also put on a yellow color as I have seen with people who have those habits. I think that dentists are so against it bc of the possibility of enamel damage-- dont use it everyday for long periods of time or dillute it if you use it everyday. You%26#039;ll love the results!

We%26#039;ve recently started using the Aquafresh Extreme Clean toothpaste with whitener. It%26#039;s very foamy and I have really seen a difference in our teeth!

Reply:i got the zoom whitening thing done at my dentist. they use a combo of hydrogen peroxide and ultra violet light. it takes about an hour. the uv is in 3 15 minute sessions. it hurts like a son of a b*tch but it totally works. my teeth are dramatically whiter. now all i have to do is maintain the whiteness with occasional home treatments.
most of the home remedies like white strips don%26#039;t work if your teeth are not pretty white already. they just maintain the status quo. you need like a deep cleaning.
i recommende the zoom. it was $300. just beware of the possible pain involved.
oh, and use a regular white tooth paste like crest of colgate. don%26#039;t use the gel kind. the paste usually has more grit in it to remove tartar and plaque buildup that causes dingy looking teeth.

most of the home remedies like white strips don%26#039;t work if your teeth are not pretty white already. they just maintain the status quo. you need like a deep cleaning.
i recommende the zoom. it was $300. just beware of the possible pain involved.
oh, and use a regular white tooth paste like crest of colgate. don%26#039;t use the gel kind. the paste usually has more grit in it to remove tartar and plaque buildup that causes dingy looking teeth.

Overall I would say that most of my patient%26#039;s have had some measure of success with the Crest Whitestrips, some more than others. Our office uses Crest Supreme which are much stronger than what you can buy in a drugstore and don%26#039;t cost that much more ($60.00 vs $30.00). You can purchase the drugstore version, but do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar or plaque) will impede their ability to work. Also, don%26#039;t use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). The strips are probably your best low price alternative, much less than in office whitening or custom trays (about $500.00). Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again.

Overall I would say that most of my patient%26#039;s have had some measure of success with the Crest Whitestrips, some more than others. Our office uses Crest Supreme which are much stronger than what you can buy in a drugstore and don%26#039;t cost that much more ($60.00 vs $30.00). You can purchase the drugstore version, but do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar or plaque) will impede their ability to work. Also, don%26#039;t use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). The strips are probably your best low price alternative, much less than in office whitening or custom trays (about $500.00). Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again.

I used a box to a box and a half, and the results were pretty dramatic but I had to redo them every 6 months because they get dingy. I have braces now and can%26#039;t use them, but I plan on using what I have left when i get them off.
If you have the two boxes, i%26#039;d just use them up. There%26#039;s really nothing you can lose.

I used a box to a box and a half, and the results were pretty dramatic but I had to redo them every 6 months because they get dingy. I have braces now and can%26#039;t use them, but I plan on using what I have left when i get them off.

I want an at home teeth whitener and I am reluctant to try crest white strips and similar products because I%26#039;ve heard that they do work...but strip the teeth of enamel and I dont want that. I have heard however...that Baking Soda works well. Does any1 have any experiences using this method and did it work for u? Do u just make a paste with water and put it on your brush or what?

I can tell you this is WAY more effective than those stupid whitening strips that take months to see results. I noticed a difference of about 3 shades in one treatment. Then I went back to smoking 2 packs, and drinking 3 cups of coffee a day. Funny the things we humans do...

You can use it with braces, but be careful. If you whiten your teeth while wearing braces, You will have yellow spots where the metal stubs used to be after you get them off. I would wait until they are off and do the whitening at one time.

i%26#039;ve heard mixed reviews about home kit teeth whiteners, ut just wondering what your views are? i clean my teeth 3/4 times a day and have never had any fillings/braces or anything but they still seem to be naturally yellow )= i%26#039;d really love white teeth but just can%26#039;t afford to have it done at the dentist atm so just wondering if anyone has any home kit recommendations. they have to be purchasable in the uk %26amp; uf you have an idea of price that would be useful too.. thankkkkks
