What happens if you leave the Crest White strips on for longer than 30 minutes?
Teeth Whitening?
There's always a chance for you to get that painful tooth sensitivity. Hope it didn't happen!
Reply:dont do it just folllow the directions
Reply:i really would like to help, but i cant. it probably wont hurt you, but the bleach in it is not too good for you, so do as the packet directs.
Reply:nothing, but is not a sugestion, u may fall sleep %26amp; swallow ...may even hurt your troath...
Reply:Nothing would really happened.. Its just like colouring your hair and leaving the dye in your hair for more then recemmended the colour would show more.. and so maybe the strip might make your teeth just a bit more white.. but you probably wouldn't notice the difference.. but not saying you should try it
Reply:it might do sumthing to ur teeth or iritate your throat so just follow the directions or u might get seriously hurt
Reply:Try the new Listerine whitening strips---they dissolve on their own after about ten minutes, so they're on for just the right amount of time, and there's nothing to remove :)
They work GREAT too!

does GO SMILE's morning and evening toothpaste really work?
Teeth whitening?
i am not sure about that product because i have not tried that. but you can whiten your teeth with comfort, ease and save money using at-home teeth whitening that contains high quality ingredients that can safely and effectively whiten teeth in just a period of time.
you can also maintain pearly white teeth by avoiding teeth-staining culprits like coffee, tea, colas, sauces, chocolates, plum, red wine and the likes.
using dental floss and brushing teeth proper is the best natural solution to remove stains from teeth every after meal.

Reply:Maybe, before I brush I first brush only with baking soda. Then I brush to clean out the taste. I just got my braces off and it's working. I'm not sure about that toothpaste but I think Colgate is the best
Reply:You can also get high-fluoride toothpaste from your dentist. It works great.

Works well, if done constantly!

any sugesstions on which products work the best with the shortest time frame and are the most cost effective?
Teeth whitening?
I can say that most of my patient's have had some measure of success with the Crest Whitestrips, some more than others. Our office uses the Supreme which are 4 times stronger than what you can get in the store, but the others will work as well but take more time and possibly more than one kit. I am also hearing that patients like the Aquafresh whitening trays ( http://www.aquafresh.com/whitetrays/....... ). The results are usually pretty quick, noticeable in the first few days, best in a week or longer. If you can, do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar, plaque, or orthodontic cement) will impede their ability to work. Also, don't use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). You should not drink or eat anything dark for at least 1/2 hour after using the strips.
The strips/trays are your least costly whitening method as compared to custom made trays or in office whitening ($500.00+) All of the methods (strips, trays, custom trays, in office whitening) have the potential to make your teeth temporarily sensitive, but will not harm the enamel. If you get sensitive use the product every other day in conjunction with a sensitive tooth toothpaste. You might try to drink dark liquids through a straw and don't smoke. Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again.
Good luck!

I expect it is though.. it says you can go 3 shades whiter in one tube which I think is accurate.
Reply:I've done the teeth whitening thing with professional stuff from the dentist that is suposed to be the best....but...nope! in my opinion the crest white strips are MUCH better and they're not that expensive, they don't hurt your teeth as much (if your teeth are sensative) and they're easy to use. they have 2 kinds a short and long time. the difference is the strength of the whitening stuff on the strips, the short length ones have a lot more power of whitening than the long but in the end they get the job done. I use the longer length ones due to sensative teeth. they're great though, love them and recomend them!
Reply:I found "Arm %26amp; Hammer" whitening toothpaste has worked for me. If you drink black coffee and drink red wine, then like me you suffer from staining.
This toothpaste is more expensive than your regular Aquafresh but totally worth it.
Reply:I used Crest whitening strips and they worked great. I went to the dentist and had professional whitening. They make a mold of your teeth and give you the products - $450. So, you still do it yourself - 1/2 hour each day. The hygenist said that Crest whitening strips are the dentist's choice for over the counter products. The strips worked just as well as the professional whitening. Save your money. Also, my teeth became sensitive with the strips, so I used them every other day.
Reply:I tried the Rembrandt whitening strips that supposedly safely whiten your teeth without harming enamel and they worked wonders for me. They cost a bit more, but I highly recommend Rembrandt products. Don't forget to floss, too. That helps to maintain whiteness.
I also recommend Crest white strips. They work within a week and they actually look decent. But for a three day program where you don't mind a little pain (because it will cause sensitivity), Rembrandt is the brand I'd recommend.
Reply:baking soda
Reply:Over-the-counter whitening treatments mess up your natural tooth enamel so use this easy mixture: Mix Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda in a bowl and then brush with it before you use your normal toothpaste. This will whiten them very brightly! Just make sure you don't swallow it. Good luck!

Use baking soda. Mix a small (like dime size) of baking soda and water together to make a paste. scope some on the brushes of your tooth brush. brush normally. Will taste salty but do not swallow and rinse well. Do not do this daily maybe once a week or every other week even longer. It is very abrasive and can damage the enamel of the teeth.
You can also try peroxide and brush with that too. try it and see if it does anything.
You can always use those crest stripes at the store. Everyone said those work great. Some people can only do it once then their teeth are to sensitive for it again.
Reply:Brush regularly, go to the dentist regularly, stop drinking cokes and other stuff that stains your teeth.
Reply:Brush with baking soda,(it awesome). Before brushing with toothpaste brush with baking soda. Just wet your tooth brush shake off excess water then touch the brissles on baking soda so it comes on it. It will take about 2 months and your teeth will shine like tubelight.

Teeth Whitening!?
Overall I would say that most of my patient's have had some measure of success with the Crest Whitestrips, some more than others. Our office uses Crest Supreme which are much stronger than what you can buy in a drugstore and don't cost that much more ($60.00 vs $30.00). You can purchase the drugstore version, but do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar or plaque) will impede their ability to work. Also, don't use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). The strips are probably your best low price alternative, much less than in office whitening or custom trays (about $500.00). Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again.
Good luck!

Reply:The very best teeth whitening is done by the dentist. See if he/she has any specials.
Reply:Do NOT use Crest White Strips. They whiten the teeth, but not between the teeth. Also, do NOT use Rembrandt. Long process with no results. Sephora sells a great line of whitening products.
Reply:If you can't afford to get the personal trays made, or just don't want to spend the money, the Crest Whitestrips work well, and you can get a professional strength of these from your dentist for alot less than the trays. The gel is able to get between the teeth.
Reply:Try goSMILE at Sephora. They are a bit expensive, but they whitening your whole tooth, not just the parts exposed to the public. They have different kits depending on your needs, and you can notice a difference in the first few days.

Reply:Hai,
Make it a must a brush your teeth every day after meals try Arm and hammer toothpaste or Aquafresh works great. You can use a whitening mouth was - Listernine makes a great one. Please check on our website.
Reply:Here is a ballpark cost range for what a dentist might charge for a single professional teeth whitening treatment. In some cases more than one treatment might be needed.
$600 to $2000
Some dentists feel that their in-office bleaching treatments should be followed up with the use of an at-home whitener. If so, you can expect that there will be an additional cost for this additional treatment.
A patient's costs might lie at the lower end of the price range stated above in those instances where a significant portion of the treatment process is performed by a staff member rather than solely the dentist. As another consideration, those dentists who incorporate an "activation" light or laser into the whitening process will have higher equipment costs than those who don't. These dentists will need to charge a relatively higher fee for their whitening treatments.
All whitening products contain peroxide either as carbamide peroxide (CP) or hydrogen peroxide (HP). Peroxide dissolves the organic stains in the tooth to change the color and produce a whitened effect.
There are four types of peroxide-containing tooth whitening products available:
* In-practice products are applied by a dental professional. These products contain a high percentage of CP or HP and are applied directly to the teeth. Some activated by heat, light, or laser. This may be the product for you if you're in a hurry for whiter teeth and you don't have tooth sensitivity. For very dark-colored teeth, the whitening process can be sped up in two to three hours followed by a take-home product until the desired whiteness is achieved.
* A take-home product supervised by a dentist is the most popular whitening method. These products contain a lesser percentage of CP or HP than in-practice products and are worn in a tray overnight or during the day at home. A custom-fitted tray is made to hold the whitening product directly against the teeth while lessening its contact with the gums. Some products have fluoride added to help prevent or treat mild tooth sensitivities. The typical stains of ageing will whiten in seven to fourteen days when the tray is worn overnight.
* Over-the-counter (OTC) whitening products contain a small percentage of HP or CP. Caution should be used with these products as many contain an acidic solution that can wear away tooth enamel. OTC products use a bulky, one-size-fits-all tray to hold the product. Usually more product is swallowed than stays in the tray because of the trays poor fit against the teeth. It can take up to six months and the purchase of several kits to get whiter teeth. Flexible strips coated with whitening gel have recently been introduced as an OTC at-home tooth whitening method. The strips are worn on the front teeth and folded over to keep them in place. Results are reported to be noticeable after fourteen days and effective for 6 months.
* Over-the-counter whitening toothpastes contain a small percentage of HP, CP, or polishing ingredient. The toothpastes are effective in keeping teeth cleaner and whiter looking but some may be very abrasive. The harsh abrasive will wear away the enamel with repeated use gradually making the teeth look yellow. Whitening toothpastes remove surface stains and prevent new stains from building up. Whitening toothpastes however aren't in contact with the teeth long enough to remove internal stains. Ask your dentist about the safety and cavity protection of specific toothpastes before you buy.

Teeth Whitening.?
Have you got it? Is it worth it? And I'm almost 17..is that too young to get it?
Teeth Whitening.?
If you are talking about professional whitening some places wont let you do it until you are 18. But it's worth calling some offices and seeing. Try to find an office that offers free trays with the zoom or britesmile. In my office if you do a zoom you get free bleach trays for touch ups! I think it is worth it. I mean it will boost your self esteem for sure as well. You can try crest whitestrips those are a lot less expensive and you can do them at your own pace. However you have to keep doing it to see results. The zoom and other in office whitening can range anywhere from $250 to almost $800 so look around, I would make sure you get trays if it's a little on the higher side. best of luck to you! I had the zoom done and I was very happy with the results.
Reply:m 2 i have yellow teeth i go to the dentist and he give me crest for whitening teeth + white paint
Reply:I don't have,use teeth-whitening products.
These products/ process uses very nasty chemicals, and your teeth can be whitened by eating, having a better diet, and using organic toothpaste!
Go to a health-food store, and ask for organic veggies, fruits, and organic toothpaste. (they may even have natural teeth whitening products!)
All the best to you.

crest whitestrips? how good do they work?
Teeth whitening?
Sassy Says..
I could blind an airplane with my smile...Crest whitestrips work well. I am a smoker too and you would never know. If you use them everyday, once a day for a week you wont have to do it again for like a month. I havent needed them for almost a year now. Try them
Reply:They work ok, but they make your teeth sensitive. The best one's that I've ever used are called gosmile. i think you can only buy them at Sephora though. They're the only ones on the market that don't cause sensitivity.
Reply:My roomate gave me hers because she said they made her sensitive teeth hurt. I only used them 3 times so far and they are getting a little whiter, but yeah they make my teeth a little more sensitive also.
Reply:Exactly what Sassy said..........
Reply:I don't like the whitestrips because they move around in your mouth too easily. I use these super whitening trays of goo that really whiten you teeth.
Reply:How about you go to the dentist and get a check up.
Reply:Anything you buy over the counter is going to be sketchy at best. See your dentist. The stuff they have REALLY WORKS. I've done it. They make a mold of your teeth. Then, every night, you put this bleaching gel into the mold, put it on your teeth, and go to sleep. You take the mold off in the morning when you wake up. You see results within a week. It's remarkable.
I wouldn't even waste my time with the stuff at the drug store. I've never tried Crest Whitestrips (they weren't out at that time), but the other over-the-counter things I tried were unhelpful.
Reply:Whitestripcs: Ok-ish... the easier something is... the less results and the SHORTER they will last.
For a holywood-type smile (that's gonna actually last), I reccomend at-home professional whitening... basically you get this kit with this tray and molds in which you put your teeth impressions, send it over to the specified adress, and get back professional trays especially for your teeth along with a whitening gel (what they use in the actual dentists' office). It's the EXACT same process which you would get at a dentist's office (at 600% the price), with the exact same materials, and exact same gel. All you get at the dentist's office (that's different) is that someone else pushes in the molds into your mouth... I think that's not worth the price difference is it? :) Everything else in process is exactly the same... the process is what the previous poster described
They go from 80$ up (the kits. And here's one example, i'm sure you can find more.

There's a lot of at home kits out there... but what's the best type and brand? (not homemade concoctions or toothpastes...)

any whitening toothpaste- also trident white (the gum) works really well. you don't have to spend a lot of money to whiten your teeth. to maintain white teeth you allways have to brush and floss often.
Reply:crest white strips.
Reply:the best way to assess your specific needs is to see a dentist. there are many gimics out there such as whitening toothpastes and rinses, gum, etc. the truth is that most people would do fine with over-the-counter crest strips. the catch is that the strips are not as effective in people with less than perfectly straight teeth. the strips are made in mass for the ideal set of teeth. custom bleaching trays made by your dentist are the best by far. other boil and bite trays are cheap and ineffective. see your dentist. you get what you pay for after all...
Reply:research. ask your friends. whatever you think works might. look at the local store or something. good luck!
Reply:I've used the strips and they've worked okay! I have been using the Listerine Whitening mouthwash for a while and that works okay! Not as quick and noticeable as the strips, but it works and is also not as "gagging". It doesn't taste the best, but it's only gargling for a minute!!!
Reply:From experience, I'd have to say Crest White Stripes..and also the night effects kind. Its about 40 bucks for both of those but its really worth it! i used to have extremely yellow teeth with white specks on them..now mine are literally pearly white and i love them...also, brush with advance white toothpaste..it has the color guide on the box...get that! even JUST using that can whiten your teeth extremely!
Reply:Crest Premium Plus Whitestrips work well. Don't waste your money on GoSmile (had little effect on me) and systems that use a light (the evening news said these were junk).

Do you think dental bleaching has gone overboard?
Do you prefer a more natural looking smile?
Teeth Whitening?
I prefer I natural smile!! Bleaching is just over the top.
Reply:I use a Brite White system. It's a jell and a UV light. Does a great job.
I like a clean white smile more then the smokers yellow.
Reply:A natural smile is good. Its almost impossible to keep your teeth white without bleach.
Reply:Personally I like having a white smile (no I do not get them bleached) but I do use a whiting toothpaste and to me having yellow or brown teeth shows that you do not care about your teeth. Yeah bleaching is a bit out of control but if you brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes and floss you would have naturally white teeth and healthy gums.
Reply:I had my teeth Bleached by the Dentist they used Zoom! that is supposed to be the best on the market! well..after paying $375.00 on sale! I felt like I was ripped off! My teeth were only one shade lighter!and another tooth still yellow..! what a rip off! a waste of money! and I hate the clove taste! it made me sick to my stomach! plus, you have to buy a kit to use over and over! that's costly too! they don't look as White as they do on Extreme make over! :( Waste of money!

I heard that porcelain veneers work well, but seeing I don't have that kind of money to get them done I've been wondering what other solution can I get at the dentist? And how much?
Teeth whitening?
try using white strips.
Reply:if you don't want white strips or veneers (which if your teeth are in good health there is no need to do), ask your dentist for bleaching trays. they usually run about $2-300 depending where you live. they can take a few days to really show results, or things like britesmile (which i had) or zoom works in an hour. that typically can run $4-500.
Reply:You can get professional light whitening depending on where you live for appx. $300 dollars but you have to sit with your mouth open for like 2 hrs! Not fun!
Or there are professional bleaching trays! Those go for about the same price and you use them daily for 2-6 weeks.
But if you are prone to sensativity beware, all teeth whitening causes some it's just worse in some people than others!
And your right dont use the whitening strips they arent good for your teeth!
Best of luck!
PS you can also try whitening toothpaste, it takes longer but does work!
Reply:you can get them bleached in the office for about 600 bucks . it takes about 2 hrs but the results are incredible . 2-4 shades lighter on avrage..at home trays and bleach from the dentist takes 2 weeks to complete and cost 300.00

Teeth Whitening?
Is there a home remedy or product that really works? I've tried the strips, I've tried the trays, nothing works at all, not even a slight shade. I am not going to pay a dentist to do it, so I'm talking about products I can buy at the store.
Please only answer if you have used them or know someone that has because I know they all claim to work.

Even though you don't want to have the dentist do the procedure, you can make an appointment to talk to the dentist about whitening. They may be able to recommend a good whitening brand or look at your teeth and explain why the whitening products you have used so far have not worked for you. Also, keep in mind that it would not be very expensive to have the dentist whiten your teeth compared to doing it on your own, since buying numerous whitening products can end up costing alot also.

Teeth whitening?
try this product called opalesence, i used it with great success, i got a tray from my dentist to use with it, it's less harsh and you wear it for less than an hour for a few days and it gets your teeth very white, i saw some on ebay for a lot less, your dentist would charge you double for what ebay charges, the only bad part is you have to get a tray made which may cost 50-100
Reply:I used Crest White strips and they worked. There wasn't a terribly significant difference, but people I know did notice. I didn't have super yellow teeth or anything, but they work well enough to whiten a few shades.
They did hurt my teeth though, becuase I have sensitive teeth. They way I got around it was to only use them every other day. It takes a bit longer to get throught the box, but it works the same and it hurts much less.
Reply:before you buy a teeth whitening and if you want to keep teeth even whiter consider having a talk with a dentist about the best teeth whitening kit. you can also choose a teeth whitening that has quality ingredients that can be able to restore white teeth.
it is best that you also refrain from consuming culprits that can stain teeth like chocolates, tea, coffee, red wine, sauces, colas and more. try to make it a habit to brush and floss teeth every after meal to remove stains caused by foods and drinks. visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com for more tips on how to keep teeth whiter.
Reply:ive said this many times, you dont need to go to the dentist to get a professional procedure done, you can do it from home. the same active agent inside the gels used by dentists can be found in at home kits.

Teeth whitening...?
Any suggestions on do it at home kits that are easy and at a good price?
and which type is best...the strips, liquid....ect?
Teeth whitening...?
The strips are convenient if your staying home and the results lasts longer. I know some who were very disappointed with the liquids. My husband used the trays, it was pricey. He could have gotten the same results with the strips without the hassle and the extra payout.
Reply:Strips are what our dentist recommends if you don't get it done professionally.

Reply:There is a new one.... I think it's Aquafresh that is whitening trays. The Crest strips are alright. Check out gosmile too.
They will all make a difference. If you are looking for something dramatic you should talk to the dentist. Afterwards pay attention to how much coffee you drink. Cola too........ use a straw if you can.

Has anyone used Britesmile before? If so, was it worth it, and did you recieve the results promised?
Teeth whitening?
teeth whitening works, but you have to be selective in how you go about it. there are a lot of dentists that claim to have one visit whitening. this basically dehydrates the teeth and makes them appear more frosty, which appears as a whiter shade. the problem is you say great, they're white, you go home, they rehydrate from your saliva, and you just flushed hundreds on almost no difference.
the important thing to do is to make sure you get a take home whitening kit with custom made trays for your teeth. these usually have you wear the trays 2 hours a day for 2 weeks, but the results will be real and actually last. you'll still get that dehydration/rehydration effect, but you have much more control of how much you want to whiten.
the trick is to make your teeth the same white as the whites of your eyes. if they're whiter, they look fake. what you want to do is whiten until they're just slightly whiter than your eyes. that way when they rehydrate they will rebound back to the color of your eyes.

Teeth whitening....??
what do you think about it? Have u had it done? how was your experience with it
does it work? does it last long? does it hurt? are there any dangers to it?
Teeth whitening....??
I have whitened my teeth with crest white strips and it really makes them look a lot whiter. You should get the Premium kind. It will make your teeth a little sensitive though but it it totally worth it. These cost about $30 for one box and they are suppose to last 18 months. I have had tons of people notice how white my teeth are. I have been thinking about getting my teeth whitened professionally whitened and my friend has got it done. She said it takes about an hour and doesn't hurt. She said It only lasts 6 months and you have to put a solution on your teeth to keep them white. There are no known danger to teeth whitening. I asked my dentist and he said it was fine to use crest white strips and that he has seen many of his patients use them.
Reply:Home whitening kits are easy to use and don't hurt as long as you don't have sensitive teeth. I like Rembrandt strips the best. They are expensive but work really well. You can also brush your teeth with baking soda. Strawberries can whiten teeth also. You just rub it on. I know it sounds weird but it works.
Reply:I've never had a professional whitening, but I use plain old peroxide (in the brown bottle) and mix it about half with regular mouthwash. It really whitens my teeth and it's cheap too.

to whiten teeth without paying much would call you to naturally keep teeth whiter by avoiding the foods and beverages that can cause teeth to become badly discolored like coffee, tea, colas, plum, red wine, chocolates and food sauces and many more. you can have a good program of proper oral hygiene by brushing and flossing teeth every after taking a meal. you can also use an at home teeth whitening treatments. choose a teeth whitening system that contains quality ingredients that will not cause gum irritation and problems on teeth. for more tips on teeth whitening visit http://www.maximumwhite.com

Anyone know of a cheap bleaching thing you can buy at a drugstore.. that works quickly preferably:) thanxx
Teeth whitening??
There are three types of teeth whitening products available for home use. These are brush-on whiteners, whitening strips, and trays filled with bleaching gels.
Brush on whiteners
It looks like a bottle of white out fluid, and it kind of is only for your teeth. You take the applicator, brush on the solution and let it dry and then sit on your teeth, usually overnight. If it seems a little haphazard, it is. Liquids don't dry easily in your mouth and they don't stay on your teeth very well. Despite a person's best efforts it is far too easy to rub off some of the fluid with tongue or lips. The result is splotches instead of even whitening. The brush-on whiteners are a shortcut with poor quality.
Whitening strips
These are plastic strips with bleaching solution on one side, similar to transparent tape. You take the strips and stick them across your teeth. The problem with these is it is very hard if not impossible to get the strips onto ever part of the teeth. Teeth are not flat even though the strips are. So, the bleaching solution is unevenly applied and the crevices between teeth don't get whitened. That looks bad.
Trays with bleaching gel
This is the same basic process as dentists have used for years. The gel applies the bleaching solution evenly, even in crevices between teeth and the trays keep it in constant contact with the teeth. Not the easiest method as you have to keep the trays in your mouth for a long time, but it is by far the most effective.
Reply:Crest premium whitestrips, youll see results in three days they are great
Reply:consumer reports magazine voted the toothpaste ultrabrite as the best whitening toothpaste. I think it is sold at cvs and its cheap in price! Remember teeth are suppose to be an off white color naturally.
Reply:Hydrogen peroxide is probably the most common and popular natural lightening agent. Apple cider vinegar can also be used for teeth whitening. More remedies and information regarding your teeth at http://useinfo-dentalcare.blogspot.com/

Teeth whitening?
as with most things in the united states, you get what you pay for. in a recent consumers reports article i seem to remember them examining a number of over the counter remedies as well as that offered by your dentist.
whitening toothpastes are probably the cheapest, but also the least effective.
whitening products that either go on strips, are brushed on, etc. work to a certain extent, but can be difficult to manage - ie, if you do it wrong, you can end up with spotted teeth, and uneven bleaching or odd coloring; if you do it too long or don't follow the instructions - the same fate. the best of these I believe are anything that can be applied evenly as a strip or mold and left on. Those applied with a brush sometimes require you to afix a funny grin while it dries. I believe that crest strips or similar outperformed the more expensive things you might find offered on TV or the internet
by far, the best results with longest lasting was to go to your dentist - but probably also the most expensive.
you may have to do an experiment and see how much you would have to spend by doing it your own with X number of applications and kits, compared to one whitening session with the dentist.
of course regular check ups and cleanings with your dentist will help naturally, as well as trying to avoid common staining substances such as smoking or tea and coffee (or trying to brush immediately after drinking these)
Reply:crest whitestrips are good.

The cheap kits have a mouth shield that will fit anyone, so you don't get the desired results. What you need to do is go along to a dentist and have a mould taken of your teeth. You will have a pair of shields that fit you very snug and will last for a very long time (lifetime). The bleaching agent can be bought from ebay very cheaply. Dentist charge £25 for a syringe and I paid just under a fiver for the same stuff. Don't go down the false economy route.

Reply:get the crest white strips 2boxes to do back to back, whitening floss , rinse, rem-brat tooth paste and an electric tooth brush spend like a 100 for a good one and don't drink coffee, red wine or dyed foods or beverages
Reply:The dentist. As the toothpastes in shops that say they do whiten your teeth take the enamel out of it so in the end they look grey and unattractive
Reply:Well i asked the dentist this very same question...........basically the answer is just regular whitening toothpaste. He said that nothing will actually whiten your teeth completely, but using whitening toothpaste regularly while help abit, but your teeth are naturally off white due to what you eat etc
Getting them polished at the dentist also helps..............anyways your teeth are fine, you've got a lovely smile, don't worry so much about it.

Teeth whitening?
The cheap kits have a mouth shield that will fit anyone, so you don't get the desired results. What you need to do is go along to a dentist and have a mould taken of your teeth. You will have a pair of shields that fit you very snug and will last for a very long time (lifetime). The bleaching agent can be bought from ebay very cheaply. Dentist charge £25 for a syringe and I paid just under a fiver for the same stuff. Don't go down the false economy route.

Reply:teeth whitening could hurt your teeth, it can damage the enamel
Reply:yeah! Boots the Chemist do a Tooth Whitening kit it costs about £25 for initial treatment.. then you just top up every so often..
also try checking out ebay.com
Reply:most of them work but the less costly ones take longer. zoom whitening is a couple of hundred a pop from a dentist, minimum.

Crest strips are supposed to be fantastic, buy them online.

However home kits are not highly reccommended due to ingredients...so try the dentist if you don't feel confident
Never tried a home kit myslef...let me know if they any good
Reply:I have a friend whoes teeth gets stained easy, She uses a special toothpaste from the dentists and then gets a polish about three times a year. it aint cheap but does work..
Some people are unlucky that no matter what, the enamel on their teeth just stains... bad luck and good luck !
Reply:crest white strips, I've been using these for 3 years, the best out there. But can cause sensitivity. The new rembrant toothpaste, kinda pricey though. Brushing with baking soda and hydrogene peroxide. I heard brushing with salt is good too. Good luck!
Reply:i find pearl drops are the best for me, always use it after brushing my teeth with crest whitener, hope that help, all the best.
Reply:Okay. Here is your answer. Either try Rembrandt toothpaste (not sure if they sell it in the U.K.) I went to a place called, "Brite Smile" a few years ago and I drank lots of tea and coffee most of my life and therefore my teeth were not as white as I'd liked. This cost me about $300.00 and it was the shock of my life! My teeth were pure white! It took only an hour. (I remember watching, "The Matrix" while it was being done.) They use a special laser on your teeth the whole time. But, alas, they told me I could only drink tea with a STRAW, and believe me that didn't last long. Fast forward a decade later, and I have recently gone to a very good dentist. (very expensive, too :o( ) They put thin layers *veneers* of porcelain on my top teeth where it was the worst, and I feel like I have a whole new reason to smile. It IS expensive, about $1,200 a tooth, and most insurance companies will not cover it as it is cosmetic dentistry. The dentist was trying to talk me into getting my bottom teeth done, but I could have bought a small car for the entire amount. But if you want gleaming white teeth, this is the best way to go. But if you can find Rembrandt toothpaste, give it a go. Good luck!
Reply:buy some white enamel paint, a small paint brush and a steady hand, hey presto white teeth
Reply:The problem with buying kits from boot or salons is that the % is not high enough, if you want it done correctly %26amp; safe go to a dentist who will do it for you (whitening starts from about 10% which works %26amp; is safe). Also at a dentist they can make the mouth guards fit exactly to the shape of your teeth by taking moulds.
the only thing with whitening is that it can sometimes it can make your teeth sensitive but ask your dentist about this, also if you have any white filling the whitening will not whiten your fillings (%26amp; if at the front of your mouth can show more easily).
Hope this helps

Does it make your teeth really sensitive?
And what is the best/most efficient brand?
Teeth Whitening?
well i have sensitive teeth to begin with.
there are SO many products out there.
gum, etc really does nothing.
i recommend Crest White Strips.. the 14 day (there's also 3 day if youre in a hurry or 7 day.. whatever floats your boat)
i tried Walgreens (i think it was ) brand of the whitening trays/paste and it stained my teeth all blotchy....! DO NOT USE!
the strips are great. my teeth actually are a little sore right now lol and i wore em yesterday afternoon.
but its worth it to me for a white smile. XD
good luck!
lemme know if you have any more Q's!
[please rate this best answer if you found it helpful! thanks]
Reply:I used the Crest whitestrips and I thought they worked great. My teeth were noticably whiter..well worth the money.
My teeth did get a little sensitive, but it wasn't bothersome for me. Others have had different experiences. If you're worried about experiencing teeth sensitivity, you could use a toothpaste like Sensodyne for 1-2 weeks before you start the whitening, and you shouldn't have any problems at all.
Also, you're supposed to use them twice a day for 15 minutes. If you experience sensitivity, you could use them just once a day, but obviously it'll take twice as long to whiten your teeth.
Reply:keeping teeth whiter is to be able to choose teeth whitening system that has quality ingredients that can deliver safe and effective whiter teeth results in just a matter of time. also, be aware that stained teeth are caused by the food you eat and the drinks that you take in during a meal.
the lists of the most common culprits that can stain teeth includes colas, coffee, tea, chocolates, sauces, plum, red wine, etc. sometimes it would be better to use straw when drinking colas and iced tea. for more tips on how to whiten teeth visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com

Laser Tooth Whitening Systems
These systems generally require an application of gel which is activated by either light, a single or even two different types of lasers. Such systems are:
LaserSmile™ Laser Whitening System (Biolase): A purple gel is applied to one to several teeth at a time, then the dental damn gel which will protect your gums is applied. After these applications are complete, laser light is then applied to the teeth for as little as 2 minutes collectively for the average whitening cases. Most visits require 2 hours of treatment time.
PEARLINBRITE™ Laser Whitening System: This system utilizes Energy Transfer Crystals , or ETC’s. ETC’s actually absorb the laser’s energy and transfers the energy to the hydrogen peroxide molecules of the gel. This whitens the stains in your teeth with oxygen on a much higher level that typical carbamide peroxide gels. Usually several applications, lasting up to 30 seconds, per each tooth is needed per session. However, only one session is usually sufficient in most whitening cases. Most visits require 30 minutes of treatment time.
BriteSmile™ 3000 Laser Whitening System: This system uses a 15% hydrogen peroxide gel application in conjunction with gel plasma light technology. Application may take up to 20 minutes on average; the gel is then exposed to the light which speeds the whitening process by exciting the hydrogen peroxide molecules. After the light exposure, the gel is left on the teeth for a little over an hour.

Do, these Nature Cure :
Dental care %26amp; mouth care.
After every meal, chew a little salt and gargle with water. Soft brush can be used to clean the particles caught between the teeth and the gums. Make it habit to clean the teeth every morning and before retiring to bed. In India, people use thin twig of a Babul, Banyan or a Neem tree (known as Datoon) as a brush. First it is to be crushed to make it soft and then use it like a brush. It is advisable to us a Datoon of Babul, Banyan or Neem tree at least once a day.
It is reported by experienced dentists that tooth pastes available in the marked are not much effective. Instead, the following tooth powder or paste which can be easily made at home has been found quite useful for the care of gums and teeth :
1. Tooth Powder : Mixture of finely ground alum powder 40% and rock salt or regular salt powder 60%. For better results, a few drops of lemon may be added. In case of dental problems, adding a little of 'Sudarshan' (a bitter Ayrvedic powder is also recommended.
2. Tooth-paste : For dental problemslike bleeding, pyorrhoea, toothache, etc. make a paste of
50% alum powder
10% rock salt or table salt powder
10% Sudarshan powder (an Ayurvedic preparation)
15% edible oil (unrefined)
10% glycerine tanic acid
5% camphor.
The paste made of this mixture can be massaged on the teeth and gums in the morning and evening with fingers. It ca be packed in collapsible tubes/jars and used, as tooth-paste.
3. Even massaging the gums with a mixture of 70% unrefined edible oil (seasame or groundnut or coconut), 15% glycerine tanic acid and 15% fine powder of rock salt or table salt is useful for good, healthy teeth and gums. Make it a daily habit. Please not that healthy gums are more useful than sparkling white teeth.
4. Mouth Freshener : Gargling with a lemon juice mixed with lukewarm water, freshens the mouth. Take a quarter of a lemon, massage it on teeth and gums and then gargle with water. Even chewing of mango, tulsi or betel leaves after meals is good, and so it is advised in India.
5. Exercises for teeth : Keep the lips closed. Pound the upper teeth on lower teeth for 30 to 40 times twice a day. Then massage the saliva on gums with the tongue. That will ensure proper blood circulation in teeth and increase the life of healthy teeth and gums.

are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural
tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be taken.
I found the information at
Reply:brush your teeth more.
Reply:Have you tried the various whitening strips? I've used the Crest Whitening Strips since they came out, in combination with Rembrandt whitening toothpaste and have always had fairly good success. I have never tried any other brands of whitening strips, though I'm aware there are various generic brands available now.
Also, I like to think that the fact that I brush with a Sonicare toothbrush also helps keep 'em nice and clean and white!
Good luck!
Reply:You could use the OTC whitening stuff, but I don't like them b/c they tend to be foamy and makes me drool pretty bad (lol)
One quick home way to do it, is to take baking soda and put it on your toothbrush and brush your teeth with it.
Don't get it on your tounge, it's NASTY! It's not an instant fix, but you'll notice that it's a little whiter. If you do this every so often, it'll help whiten them a little bit.
Reply:What i use is Klear Action teeth whitening gel, rinse and light. It was only about $25 for a 2 time thing. It is a bit of a pain in the butt, but it is SO worth it! I have a much more confindent smile, My teeth look healthy and white and I really reccomend it! I got the system at CVS.
Or, Crest Whitestrips wokr as well ,but the strips are a nasty taste and kind of burn your gums and you need to use it 7 nights in a row.
Good Luck, email me w/ questions!
Reply:I heard a woman on television say that she simply takes a Q-tip and dips it in hydrogen peroxide and paints her teeth with it each night after she brushes her teeth. She had beautiful teeth.

Teeth whitening?
What are a couple ways of getting whiter teeth? and what are the ups and downs of them?
Teeth whitening?
I am also hearing happy reviews with the Aquafresh whitening trays, unlike the strips they don't have the tendency to slip or move). All of the methods (strips, trays, custom trays, in office whitening) have the potential to make your teeth temporarily sensitive, but will not harm the enamel. You should see results within the first week if not sooner.
Good luck!

Reply:I use Colgate Toothpaste and it makes my teeth very white. I recommend that. I also recommend "Crest Mouth Wash". It made my teeth very clean and white :) Good luck!!
Reply:Use a teeth whitening kit which can be found at a local drug store.
The pros of using teeth whitening kits are that they get whiter lol!! The cons are that they can wear away at the enamel if left on the teeth too long, so be sure to leave it on for the appropriate amount of time.
Some ways to avoid getting yellow teeth is to not drink coffee or sodas or drink it with a straw.
Reply:chlorine is a good choise if you want your teeth to be whiter than ever
Reply:You can use tooth whitening pen- it's cheap, portable and efficient or opalescence tooth whitening products. You can also use any of the tooth whitening system in our website http://toothwhitening.fateback.com...

Teeth whitening?
my daughter is 13 and wants whiter teeth. obviosly i dont want t get her anything too strong, i was thinking more a toothpaste.
what would you sugest?
Teeth whitening?
The old standard of baking soda and peroxide helps a little bit and certainly cannot hurt her or her teeth in any way. Yet I would see a dentist about professional whitening as opposed to any tooth whitening system even Crest White Strips. Even in adults the use of CWS leads to sensitivity sometimes even in the first use. This would be bad enough for an adult to experience much less your teenage daughter. Good Luck!!!
Reply:Crest whitestrips
Reply:Ask a dentist first, it might be that at 13 none of those are suggested for kids
Reply:Toothpastes dont work, get her Crest Whitening strips, those work great.
Reply:A Good Old fashion Teeth Cleaning at the DENTIST !!! DUH !!!!!
Reply:try those whitening strips
Reply:My dentist whitened my teeth for $66.00. I'm sure your dentist can whiten them, and not use something too strong. Give your dentist a call.
Reply:Crest brand makes some good whitening toothpaste.
Reply:Arm and Hammer whitening. It's not too harsh and it actually works if your disciplined enough. I brush once in the morning and once at night and it really got my teeth whiter by a shade or two.
Reply:i would ask a dentist. at 13 i find it hard to beleive her teeth are THAT bad... but there are some less-intense products on the market, such as whitening toothpaste. Watch out for some of the strips that can be painful on your teeth.
Reply:Toothpastes and whitening strips don't really "whiten." They just get rid of stains, that's all. To say that they "whiten" isn't really true.
At 13 I wouldn't recommend anything stronger than toothpastes. Whitening strips can weaken the enamel as well as cause hypersensitivity.
Try eating strawberries, flossing, and brushing teeth with a baking-soda based toothpaste.
Reply:get colgate MaxFresh toothpaste w/ little sparkly things in it. try a new toothbrush (like the colgate 360) or something like that. crest whitening strips are really good too. hope this helps, and tell her good luck :-D
Reply:Listerine has a bottled liquid whitener that works very well. You just swish an ounce or so of it around in your mouth right before you brush.
Reply:they u acid and you have to put in on for 30 min every night
i used it for 2 days than threw it away cuz if it hit anythink beside your teeth it hurts
Reply:TOOTH PASTE DOESN'T HELP VERY MUCH. I WOULD GET HER THE( STRIPS THEY ARE HARD TO USE ) THE BRUSH ON WHITENERS ARE THE BEST.
Reply:Try brushing her teeth. ew.
Reply:It depends on constitution of the scalp of each of us. You can use best whitening paste many times per day, but your teeth can remain still ,,different ,, kind of white. I mean not pure white , like our Afro-American friends have. Best way is to start from dentist. Dentist will suggest you most acceptable way, how to keep your daughter's teeth healthy white.
Reply:Aquafresh White and Shine
or
Aquafresh Whitening Advanced Freshness.
those are my favorite anyway
Reply:A toothpaste won't do anything. Is her teeth yellow, or do they really need to be whiter? If you want to give her the "placebo effect" just give her a toothpaste that says "extra whitening" but know it won't do anything. The only way to properly whiten is to either get an over-the-coutner or in-office whitening product with carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide (at least 5%). It is safe to do on 13 year olds to my knowledge. Check out http://www.teethwhiteningreviews.com for more info.

Teeth whitening??
Im planning to do my teeth, any info on the best ways and the cost? Is the laser way a good one??
Teeth whitening??

Reply:I used the crest white strips that you but over the counter, my dentist was very impressed with the results. Think about it
Reply:There are many options to whiten teeth and all of them usually give results to some level. Whitening toothpaste for instance only changes teeth slightly over time by removing stains on the outside of teeth.
Most other products work by removing stains on the inside of teeth (specifically the enamel). These usually give the best results. They include whitening strips (over the counter), at-home bleaching trays from your dentist, and in-office bleaching trays in the dental office.
The in-office trays use the strongest chemicals and may also be enhanced by using a light such as the "Zoom" system. The at-home systems are limited to a certain strength. Higher strength whiteners can give faster results, but may cause temporary sensitivity.
Your dentist may also recommend a combination of these products. For instance, start with the in-office and then use strips and toothpaste when you want to touch up at home.
It doesn't hurt to try some over the counter products and see if it gives you the results you want. Follow the recommendations on the box and see if you see results within a few weeks of steady use.

Reply:I swish with peroxide and equal parts of water. Keep it in your mouth as long as possible. About 1 minute a day for a week should be noticable, I only do it now when I have a glass of red wine, or drink coffee which is seldom and I have very white teeth. You can also brush with baking soda and peroxide. Dip your brush in the straight peroxide, and then dip it in baking soda. Brush, and waalllaaa!!

They do some high-street teeth whitening stuff now in shops like tesco, boots, loyds pharmacy, or your dentist obviously.

Professionally done - $350.00
Hydrogen Peroxide - .89 cents Wal Mart
Reply:Whatever you do, dont buy one of those over the counter kits... they ruin your teeth! Its prob best to get it done at the dentist, expensive, but prob the best.
You could also try soap.... yeah i know it sounds horrible but it works. I brush mine once a week with soap and it really does make a difference ( i use dove soap)
Just do the front teeth, that way you don't get the yucky taste of soap in your mouth. Then brush them with toothpaste to finnish off.
Oh and you could also use barcarbonate of soda to! x
