Teeth whitening?

my daughter is 13 and wants whiter teeth. obviosly i dont want t get her anything too strong, i was thinking more a toothpaste.

what would you sugest?

Teeth whitening?
The old standard of baking soda and peroxide helps a little bit and certainly cannot hurt her or her teeth in any way. Yet I would see a dentist about professional whitening as opposed to any tooth whitening system even Crest White Strips. Even in adults the use of CWS leads to sensitivity sometimes even in the first use. This would be bad enough for an adult to experience much less your teenage daughter. Good Luck!!!
Reply:Crest whitestrips
Reply:Ask a dentist first, it might be that at 13 none of those are suggested for kids
Reply:Toothpastes dont work, get her Crest Whitening strips, those work great.
Reply:A Good Old fashion Teeth Cleaning at the DENTIST !!! DUH !!!!!
Reply:try those whitening strips
Reply:My dentist whitened my teeth for $66.00. I'm sure your dentist can whiten them, and not use something too strong. Give your dentist a call.
Reply:Crest brand makes some good whitening toothpaste.
Reply:Arm and Hammer whitening. It's not too harsh and it actually works if your disciplined enough. I brush once in the morning and once at night and it really got my teeth whiter by a shade or two.
Reply:i would ask a dentist. at 13 i find it hard to beleive her teeth are THAT bad... but there are some less-intense products on the market, such as whitening toothpaste. Watch out for some of the strips that can be painful on your teeth.
Reply:Toothpastes and whitening strips don't really "whiten." They just get rid of stains, that's all. To say that they "whiten" isn't really true.

At 13 I wouldn't recommend anything stronger than toothpastes. Whitening strips can weaken the enamel as well as cause hypersensitivity.

Try eating strawberries, flossing, and brushing teeth with a baking-soda based toothpaste.
Reply:get colgate MaxFresh toothpaste w/ little sparkly things in it. try a new toothbrush (like the colgate 360) or something like that. crest whitening strips are really good too. hope this helps, and tell her good luck :-D
Reply:Listerine has a bottled liquid whitener that works very well. You just swish an ounce or so of it around in your mouth right before you brush.
Reply:they u acid and you have to put in on for 30 min every night

i used it for 2 days than threw it away cuz if it hit anythink beside your teeth it hurts
Reply:TOOTH PASTE DOESN'T HELP VERY MUCH. I WOULD GET HER THE( STRIPS THEY ARE HARD TO USE ) THE BRUSH ON WHITENERS ARE THE BEST.
Reply:Try brushing her teeth. ew.
Reply:It depends on constitution of the scalp of each of us. You can use best whitening paste many times per day, but your teeth can remain still ,,different ,, kind of white. I mean not pure white , like our Afro-American friends have. Best way is to start from dentist. Dentist will suggest you most acceptable way, how to keep your daughter's teeth healthy white.
Reply:Aquafresh White and Shine

or

Aquafresh Whitening Advanced Freshness.

those are my favorite anyway
Reply:A toothpaste won't do anything. Is her teeth yellow, or do they really need to be whiter? If you want to give her the "placebo effect" just give her a toothpaste that says "extra whitening" but know it won't do anything. The only way to properly whiten is to either get an over-the-coutner or in-office whitening product with carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide (at least 5%). It is safe to do on 13 year olds to my knowledge. Check out http://www.teethwhiteningreviews.com for more info.
