Hi all, I am thinking of going for teeth whitening and I need some help here.





What are the different methods available?


Which one show the best results?


How much does it cost (in Singapore) ?


Anyone in Singapore can recommend me a good dentist for teeth whitening?

Questions on Teeth Whitening?
There are a few different ways to whiten your teeth.





1: take home trays; they work with custom made trays and gel that is placed in the trays. You wear them for about 3-4 hours at a time over the course of a week or so.





2: In office bleaching; your gums are covered with a light hardened material to keep the gel from burning them, gel is painted on the teeth and a light is focused over the teeth. The Zoom system takes an hour.





3: Veneers; this is pretty extreme and is usually not done just to whiten teeth a few shades. It would usually be done on teeth that are either very dark (brown or grey) or that are chipped and misaligned.





4: white strips; you can get these over the counter or professional strength at some dentist offices.





I am not personally a huge fan of the in office. It is a long, tiring procedure and the results are not as dramatic as most people desire. I think the best one is the trays. You can do touch ups with that kind and it usually produces pretty good results.





As for the cost in Singapore, I have no clue.
