Teeth Whitening...?

I have braces and cant get my teeth white. I brush two times a day and use mouthwash. Any suggestions on getting them white?

I don%26#039;t have braces, but i really try hard to get my teeth white and clean.





Its great that you brush twice and use mouthwash. Use a toothpaste that has baking soda in it. most brands carry those types like crest and colgate. Also try a whitening mouthash. you can find them anywheere! Also after you brush your teeth with toothpaste, clean your brush and brush with a little bit of baking soda. and lastly chew whitening gum like trident.





You%26#039;ll really start to see and feel a difference after a while.


Be patient and it will all work!

untill they are off.


If you do you will have yellow squares where your braces


are.


And the metal makes your teeth appear yellower than


they actually are.





So wait till they are off then use whitestrips.

Reply:dont use a teeth whitener (such as crest whitestrips) because it can leave marks on your teeth when you get your braces off. Try brushing with baking soda. It doesnt work as well as the drugstore brands but it can make a little bit of a difference after a few weeks. Also use a whitening toothpaste and mouth wash and floss your teeth well. Once you get your braces off you can use a whitener and it should work better. good luck! :)
Reply:i wouldnt really worry about it until you get your braces off. when you do get your braces off they will already look a lot whiter. when your orthodontist is repostioning a bracket, ask to go see how it look before he puts it back on. your teeth will look bigger and whiter!





plus if you use some of the white strip treatments it can harm the glue.





when you get your braces off, if you still are self conscience, then go to your dentist to get a full clean without the braces and talk about if he can whiten your teeth. when your dentist whitens them, it turns out better then the stuff you can get in the stores.
Reply:Get whitener, but dont use Crest Strips (the oldest version).


They are messy and take 30 minuites. If you do use crest, use the premium or something newer. Much more efficient.

Reply:I understand you completely. Even though I don%26#039;t have braces, I always want to get my teeth whiter. Don%26#039;t spend your money buying all those different types of toothpastes. I%26#039;ve tried buying different types, and they don%26#039;t work. But what I notice that works for me is brushing your teeth after every meal. I brush my teeth at least 4-5 times everyday, and use floss, and it really has made a difference. Also, drink enough water. It takes off all of the extra dirt/ food on your teeth, and gives them an extra glow. Good luck, and Happy Holidays.
