Teeth Whitening?

Any good things to get your teeth more white besides surgery, white strips, and toothpaste?

Teeth Whitening?
By surgery I%26#039;m assuming you mean the laser tooth whitening procedure? Well, besides strips and toothpaste the only other thing I know of is trays. You can go to the dentist and get them to create molds of your teeth, from which they%26#039;ll create trays for you to wear in your mouth. You squirt dental bleach in the trays and wear them like a mouth piece.

But, that%26#039;s a thing of the past now. Most dental offices have replaced that with laser whitening. It%26#039;s faster, less mess, and you about the same cost.
Reply:I have had really good experiences with Crest whitestrips and a good whitening toothpaste. But I also think it is in what you eat. So dark drinks like coffee and tea, and smoking tobacco or marijuana, cigars, or chewing tobacco all also put on a yellow color as I have seen with people who have those habits. The best suggestion I have is maybe to brush more often, after every meal is ideal, that way food can not sit and stain your teeth.
Reply:no not that i know of
Reply:So I know dental students that are absolutely horrified by this, but I use regular peroxide as a gargle. I do it every few days or everyday for a week if I feel as if my teeth are yellowing. I get a lot of compliments on how pretty my teeth are, too. (Kind of a weird compliment but... its true!) Its inexpensive, effective and doesn%26#039;t cause the cold sensitivity of whitening strips. I think that dentists are so against it bc of the possibility of enamel damage-- dont use it everyday for long periods of time or dillute it if you use it everyday. You%26#039;ll love the results!

(Also, I did some research on the %26quot;surgical%26quot; options that you%26#039;re discussing when I was looking for a way to whiten my teeth. %26quot;Zoom%26quot; where they blast your teeth with some sort of light can be done in the dental office but is expensive $400 if I remember correctly. Efficacy was the same as whitening trays from the dentist office and the efficacy of those trays was just superior to in store whitening strips. So for overall cost and convience, I still say my peroxide idea is best. ;-)
