Teeth whitening?

my mo says that if i brush my teeth with baking soda they will get whiter is this true

Teeth whitening?
It is true, but it will take a long time for them to turn white with just baking soda itself. If you want your teeth to get really white then try toothpaste whitener and mouthwash with the baking soda. That stuff really works.
Reply:call a dentist :)
Reply:I don%26#039;t think it does, but it%26#039;s always good to listen to your mother
Reply:To a point. Its like using a grit cleanser on your teeth. Just be careful not to over do it so you don%26#039;t ruin the enamel. Before whitening toothpaste came out, I brushed with a mix of Baking soda and peroxide.

Arm %26amp; Hammer makes a whitening toothpaste.
Reply:according to wikipedia it does - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baking_soda

in another website it specifically says baking soda removes surface stain but not bleach them - http://experts.about.com/q/Dentistry-966...
Reply:yep
Reply:No. There are some good home whitening kits available over the counter. Crest Whitestrips is one. They are relatively inexpensive and dod the job, however not as good as a professional whitening which can be very costly. If ur over 16, try one of the OTC kits. U%26#039;ll get a good result. Good luck
Reply:Yes, I have heard about this from one of my friend.

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and

are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural

tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries

but certain precautions have to be taken.
