I've actually had it done once before forking over $500 but I did it a few months after I was whitening my teeth with Nite White ("professional stuff") which worked amazingly but was oh so sensitizing to my teeth, lol. Anywho, I noticed hardly any results after I got them laser whitened but remarkably when they sent me the before and after pics back my teeth were veneer white! ha
Enchanced...mmmm yea (Photoshop pro here)
My concern now is since Nite White worked wonders yet I don't want to deal with the major sensitivity issue day by day while using it, do you think I should try a different dentist or laser whitening?
Does laser teeth whitening really work that dramatically?
At-home whitening supervised by a dentist will give you less sensitivity but take a little bit longer. The dentist will make trays for you to fit your teeth, and then you put the bleaching solution in them. The good thing about them is that you can adjust the amount of time you wear the trays for if you have sensitivity. Usually they are worn overnight, but if that causes a problem for you you can wear them 2-6 hours a day and the sensitivity should lessen. Yes, it will take longer to whiten, a couple weeks at least, but your teeth will not hurt so much.
Reply:I'd say try something over the counter like Crest Whitestrips Premium. which may help with the sensitivity and keep you from shelling out $500. Laser whitening should last about 2 years if you care for it well enough.
Take your own before and after shots.
Reply:Studies have shown that laser or in-house whitening gives a faster initial result, but there is a significant relapse so that some people have to go back for 2 or 3 sessions. Over 50% also have to follow-up with tray home whitening to get the desired result.
So, home bleaching gives the best results.
With my patients, I've found that the best way to reduce the risk of sensitivity is:
1st night - load the tray with GC Tooth Mousse and wear it overnight. This product is only available from dentists and contains milk proteins that are primarily intended to remineralise teeth, but also have the effect of blocking up the dentinal tubules. So this protectively primes the teeth before bleaching begins.
2nd night/day - start using Sensodyne toothpaste, and start up the bleaching.
If the sensitivity becomes too much, then use the Mousse again to calm things down before starting the bleach again for shorter periods of time.
Good luck!

Reply:Laser teeth whitening is becoming a popular alternative for people that want to see quick results when they have their teeth bleached. The process of laser teeth whitening is simple and can be done at the dentist's office in about an hour. The dentist simply applies a translucent gel to your teeth and then activates the bleaching properties in the gel by a laser light. The results of laser teeth whitening are immediate and usually only requires one office visit. As a result in fast paced cities, teeth whitening done by laser is becoming extremely popular.
The downside to laser teeth whitening is the price. It is generally one of the most expensive teeth whitening procedures available. If you are looking for an alternative teeth whitening procedure that works just as well as a laser treatment, but at a fraction of the price, then a teeth whitening kit from http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com/ will the best to make a difference.
Reply:laser teeth whitening works fast in getting teeth whiter. but it can dramatically affect you financially because it is of a luxury. there are also good ways to keep teeth whiter aside from this popular and expensive laser teeth whitening. teeth results in just a matter of time.
stained teeth are caused by the food you eat and the drinks that you take in. the most common culprits that can stain teeth are colas, coffee, tea, chocolates, sauces, plum, red wine, etc. sometimes it would be better to use straw when drinking colas and iced tea. choose teeth whitening system that has quality ingredients that can deliver safe and effective whiter teeth results in just a matter of time.
