Does teeth whitening gum work?

I can vouch for tooth whitening toothpaste cause it does work but I just bought a pack of Orbits and I just dont get it. I am not rubbing the gum all around my teeth it bascially stays in one place, in the back of my mouth. Should I chew with my front teeth, do I need to rotate from tooth to tooth. So am I going to have like 3 white teeth,or do I need to chew like 50 pieces of gum a day for it to actually work?

Does teeth whitening gum work?
LOL.... I am chewing Orbitz White Bubblemint right now. I bought it this morning and wondered the exact same thing.

Thanks...

[And just so you know, I have been rubbing the gum all over my teeth so that it gets somewhat even distribution.]
Reply:I asked my dentist the same question. He said no. Nor do the whitening mouthwashes or most of the other over-the-counter whitening products. He says for o-t-c the only product that he can recommend as working 'somewhat' is Crest white strips. The ones you leave on for several hours, overnight.
Reply:good question
Reply:gums and mints do not work, they'll just add up to the problem and can cause the condition to become worse since they contain sugar that can be the source of bad bacteria in the mouth to proliferate.

watch out for the culprits that can stain your teeth like coffee, tea, colas, red wine, chocolates and sauces. try to use a straw if possible when drinking them.

remember that smoking can also discolor your teeth, it is best that you avoid them.

you can also keep teeth whiter by properly brushing and flossing teeth every after meal. this can help remove stains immediately after food and beverage intake.

choose a teeth whitening system that has quality ingredients and can give you best teeth whitening results. consider asking help from a dental expert. visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com for more tips on how to maintain white teeth.
